After a while of not having this bottle I keep asking myself “am I overhyping this bottle?” and once I drink it all doubts are cleared. This bottle is just great. It’s moe readily available now, MSRP isn’t awful and the quality is fantastic. I’ve never had a bad bottle of this and I’m blown away every time.

Dram of the Day: Penelope Barrel Strength — coming in hot at 119 proof
Nose:
Rich caramel and vanilla right up front, followed by toasted oak, baking spices, and a hint of dark fruit.
Palate:
Bold and warming with layers of brown sugar, cinnamon, and rye spice. Mid-palate brings oak and a touch of cherry, finishing long with heat, pepper, and sweet vanilla lingering.

Club Marzipan single barrel. This is one of my favorites. It’s not overpowering on the rye spicy and the touch of sweetness is perfect. Cheers!
Jumping into this bottle of batch 17 from 2021, apparently the last release of the “Jr” bottles. This color is amazing. Heavy molasses on the nose and a minty cherry bomb. Can’t explain how it works but it absolutely does.
Honestly haven't been a fan of Rye Whiskey in the past, but have never tried Sazerac Rye before. Got this mini bottle to try tonight.
